Scythe Neck-Through #1 Owner: Sean Berben |
This is Scythe Neck Through # 1 built by Neal
Moser and Sal Gonzales, paint by GMW Guitarworks. |

I thought it would be fun to show the first
neck-through Scythe completed in 2004 (left) and the first bolt-on Scythe
built in 1988. I'm very proud that this design has managed to stand the
test of time. Thank you. |

I like this shot against the lace. I managed
to get my tripod in the reflection. :-) |
Grover Super Rotomatics with the Imperial
knobs. |

The paint is "metallic black".
Pickups are DiMarzio Super 2 on bridge and PAF on neck. If you want to
buy this guitar but don't like the pickup choice, I will exchange these
for whatever you'd like. |
Electronics are master volume
and tone. Pickup selector switch. 2 series/parallel switches. 1 phase
switch. The mini switch below the bridge pickup is a treble booster. |

Hand cut and shaped real bone nut from my
private stock of specially cured bone. (No one does bone like I do) I've made jewelry, arrow heads and knives from this specially cured bone. |

I call this headstock my "Bat Wing"
style. It's available on all MCS guitars as well as many others. |

No inlays, only side dots. I like this look.
It's the same way the original Scythe was done. |
This is a real close up of the paint color.
It should reflect stage lighting nicely. |

We don't take the heel on this
model as far back as some of our other models due to the fret access.
This keeps the neck more stable. Strat type output. This can be moved
to a different location on custom orders. However, I like it there personally.
Black Grover Super Rotomatics with the Imperial button. |

This guitar is made of Maple with an Ebony
finger board. Badass bridge and DiMarzio pickups. |
I thought this was a cool pic with the shadow
kinda hanging out there. PhotoShop is a wonderful thing. |
