This is another custom made guitar with
a story.
Many years ago Billy Truhart had a 1957 Les Paul that
had belonged to his father. It was in a fire, BIG TIME. The headstock
was half burned off, the body was scorched, and the inlay and
binding had melted off. It was basically a total loss. Billy had
taken it to different repair shops to have it fixed, but none
of them wanted to do it. They kept referring him to Neal Moser.
He looked for me for almost 10 years.
Next part of the story: I had a friend that worked at Big Valley
Music and he told me they needed some guitar tech help. So I would
go to Big Valley Music twice a week for two hours. As fate would
have it, Billy Truhart happened to walk into the store while I
was there. Somebody in the store called my name and Billy came
over and said, "Are you really Neal Moser? I've been looking
for you for 10 years." We have been friends ever since. He
brought the burned Les Paul to me and asked if I could fix it.
I told him between me and GMW we can fix anything. So, we did.
When he got it back it looked like an original 57 Paul right off
the show room floor. He was extremely happy with the way it came
out. He asked me if I could build a copy of the 57 Paul so he
could give it to his brother. So, GMW and I went to work again
to build a copy of his guitar. When the copy was done he liked
it so much he gave the 57 Paul to his brother and kept the Moser
57' for him self. Greedy Bast................ Anyway, while he
was nosing around in my garage he found the blank that ended up
as "The Moser" on page 3. The photos on this page are
of the Moser 57' LP copy. Enjoy.
