This guitar is a very rare Seagull 2.
There were probably less than 20 of them built. It was brought to
me by David Seller of Valencia, California, who is the original
owner. This guitar is in MINT condition and I was extremely happy
that Dave could bring it to me for this pictorial.
Most people believe that the shape progression went from Seagull
to Eagle. Actually it went from Seagull to what we called the “Pointless”
Seagull then the Seagull 2 to the Eagle. There was also a Seagull
Jr. model that was built a few months after the Seagull. We actually
built quite a few Seagull Jrs. Probably somewhere around 100.
Eventually someone will contact me that has a “Pointless Seagull“.
There are probably less than 10 of them. I can’t wait.
This was the third guitar stamped in
1976. Notice the Made In USA stamp.
We were still building the Booster and
Varitone by hand in 1976.
