I purchased this rare
34" scale Bich bass off Ebay. It's hurt and needs refurbishing.
I've decided to shoot some before and after pictures of this bass
showing this process.
Bich basses were 30.5" scale. Only a very few were built in
34" scale.
Whoever painted this bass left the electronics
in it when they did. All the electronics in the cavity are painted
red. NOT GOOD
You can even see the red paint on the
mini switch nuts. You can also see other cracks and chips.
There's one serious crack in the body
running from the butt through the electronics cavity.
Fortunately, it will not effect the
integrity of the body. I will fix it and you won't be able to tell
it ever existed.
I scratched the back trying to see what
wood it was made of. I couldn't get through the white primer. I'll
have to sand off the finish. :-)
The paint on this bass was sprayed on
with a spray can. Really a lousy job.
I think I'm going to do this Bich in
Glitter Rock White with black hardware. :-)
