This guitar is Genesis
bolt-on #1 the first Genesis I ever built.
We never actually finished this guitar. It was on the back wall
of our Neal Moser Guitars/GMW Guitar Works NAMM Booth. We had examples
of many of our shapes and graphic designs done on bodies for sale.
This guitar was purchased by Barry Miller at the NAMM Show. He asked
me to sign and date the guitar inside the neck pocket. It's dated
1-22-95.
Just recently I saw the guitar for sale on Ebay. I contacted the
seller and it turned out to be Barry. So, I bought it back. :-)
Thanks Barry.
This guitar has a great Dan Lawrence
graphic. When it was finished being built it had an import Charvel
neck on it. I'm in the process of building a Neal Moser Guitars
Dolphin head neck for it. I'm building it out of Padauk. It will
have an Ebony fret board and be bound with Antique Ivroid binding.
Inlay?............hmmm.
I love this shape. It's one of my personal
favorites. It's Just a Bich spin-off with a symmetrical tail. People
tell me they think it flows even better than the Bich.
The vertical signature is the first
one done when I built the body, marked #1. The horizontal signature
was done at the NAMM Show in January 95. Notice the "Made In
U.S.A" stamp. :-)
OH YEAH, DAN'S THE BEST.
That's actually a self portrait of what he looks like when someone
asks him to do a complex graphic. :-)
